Page 1: An Introduction to the Survey

Northumbria University and the University of Cumbria are researching the use of technology in legal education and practice.  This collaborative research project, funded by BILETA, explores how law schools are addressing the increasing needs and expectations of legal practice in supporting and preparing students for ‘digital lawyering’.  The primary research activity will involve gathering, and analysing, data from interviews with law firms and organisations in England and Wales.

You have been invited to take part in this research project because of your awareness and experience in the fields relevant to this study – technology, legal practice, management, recruitment of future trainees and lawyers, business needs, and legal education.  We are extremely grateful that you have agreed to take part, and we thank you for taking the time to answer our survey.

The survey is made of up 10 questions, and should take you around 10 minutes to complete.

More information about the research project and the purpose of this survey can be found by viewing the Participant Information Sheet here.

Thank you,

Ann and Craig
